HHP LAUNCHES NEW ADVANCED LINEAR IMAGER
HHP has launched the ImageTeam? 5600 - a new, Advanced Linear Imager designed to meet the exacting needs of the retail and light industrial sectors. The new model has the fastest scan speed in its class (three times faster than its nearest rival), coupled with an exceptional depth of field (22 inches) and a wide reading capability (codes up to eight inches wide from a distance of 12 inches). It can also read most retail and commercial bar codes from a distance of up to 30 inches.
These features mean that the bar codes on large or bulky items can be read rapidly, easily and accurately without the need for close or contact scanning. This makes the IT5600 very easy for operators to use, greatly reducing the need for reaching or stretching, and speeding up the service they can provide.
The new model is one of the toughest on the market. It is more robust and durable than laser scanners, as it uses the latest imaging technology, which requires no internal moving parts. It has a higher drop distance specification than even the IT3800 (which boasts a record of less than 1% of over 650,000 units sold ever being returned for servicing).

The IT5800 has impressive specifications, and a range of features designed to increase operator efficiency and productivity.For instance, the new imager has a longer reading range than many standard range laser scanners, as it can read bar codes at distances of up to 82 inches (2.1 metres). This eliminates the need for operators to stretch when trying to read the codes on large or bulky Packages. The IT5800 is also more than six times faster than moving beam laser scanners, with an operating speed of 270 scans and decodes per second.
Like all of HHP?s imagers, the IT5800 is very durable, as it has a shock-absorbent moulding and no moving parts. It is therefore ideal for use in a wide range of applications in demanding work environments, including package sorting and tracking; rugged Point of Sale; quality and inventory control; and shipping and receiving. What is webwords?
The webwords project aims to enrich the quality of the experience of choosing an audio book for visually impaired people using library catalogues.
